I went to the mall for a couple of friends’ birthdays and managed to buy some things. Mostly things for prom, because I want to not be the “ugly duckling” among the swans (i.e. my friends, though I know most people will think the girls who choose tropical print high-low dresses look better than me, too), but yeah.
(Kind of pic-heavy.)

My bags. Went to Sephora, MAC, Charlotte Russe, Victoria’s Secret (because my boyfriend gave me his mom’s coupons, lmao), H&M, and Forever21.

Bought mascara from Sephora. Lights, Camera, Lashes! from Tarte. I was going to get d.j.v. beautenizer Fiberwig LX, my previous mascara, but this was cheaper and after testing it out in the store, I found that I liked it better. The sephora display promised curl, length, and volume—basically, a miracle.

Baby’s first foundation! Studio tech creme foundation (NC20) and loose powder (NC15). I am an idiot and bought loose instead of pressed, but I was just kind of amazed that the MUA who did my face made me look like a doll, and I was just willing to buy whatever it was that made me look not ugly.

Okay, I have to say, I love these nude heels from C. Russe, mainly because of the story behind them. I wasn’t willing to spend over $40 on shoes and I literally went to every store I could think of to find some nude shoes, and everything I found was $70+. I was almost going to cave in and buy these glitter heels at C. Russe that I didn’t want or pay the $70, when suddenly, I see that a mannequin has nude heels on. I ask the sales girl if they still carried shoes on mannequins and she said she would look. When she came back, she asked what size I wore and I told her, “7”. She bent down, looked at the bottom of the shoe, and picked up the mannequin. I excitedly begin prying off the shoe, dislocating the mannequin’s calf in the process. My shoes have toe imprints from the mannequin, but I have now have shoes for prom! Hoorah for having mannequin sized feet! Not to mention I talked the price down. So I paid $21 for these. :D I am so lame.

I don’t like how VS clothes are almost all neon colored and stuff, but I had coupons, so. I didn’t have a blue bra and those panties were free. Bringing out my “wild side”, I suppose.

earrings for prom. $6 from h&m. I like them. They’re kind of heavy, but beauty is pain. Or something.

Pink sleeveless collared shirt from H&M.

Navy pleated skirt with birds on it, from Forever21. It’s usually really hard for me to find XS skirts (that aren’t too small; S is usually too big, lol.), but when I do. :D
The flowers reminded me of the flowers on the Daisy by Marc Jacobs bottle. This is the ring I selected to wear with my prom dress. It’s pretty plain and simple. I like it. It SURPRISINGLY fits. I wear, like, a size 5 and this was a S/M and what luck.
So basically, I have to worry less about prom now and hopefully I won’t look jank. Now if only we can decide where to eat.
